On August 8, 2023, Dr. He from the University of Arizona was invited to give an academic lecture. Academician Ding Lin, Director of TPESER, together with scientific research backbones, participated in this academic exchange.

At the invitation of Ms. Kou Manhui, Director of Communication of UKRI, Academician Ding Lin, Director of TPESER, Prof. Robert Spicer, Dr. Alexandera Farnsworth, Dr. Xiong Zhongyu and engineer Ping Fan, visited UKRI on August 4, 2023.

From July 28 to August 4, 2023, Prof. Robert Spicer from The Open University, Dr. Alex Farnsworth and Dr. Cait Witkowski from University of Bristol, at the invitation of Academician Ding Lin, Director of TPESER, had academic exchanges with the scientific research backbone of TPESER.

At the invitation of Research Fellow Huang Wentao, Deputy Director of TPESER, Research Fellow Li Lin from the University of Arizona visited TPESER on July 28, 2023. Academician Ding Lin, Director of TPESER, together with scientific research backbones, participated in this academic exchange.

2023 TPE & TransTiP Science & Technology Training, jointly organized by the international program "Third Pole Environment" (TPE) and the Sino-German educational cooperation project "Geo-ecosystems in Transition on the Tibetan Plateau" (TransTiP), strongly supported by the Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Sino-German Center, was successfully held in Lanzhou from June 26 to July 8.

On July 5, 2023, Prof. Delores Robinson (Director of the Department of Geological Sciences, The University of Alabama), Dr. Kathryn Matchalf and her student Jarrod Burges visited the TPESER. Academician Ding Lin, Director of TPESER, together with scientific research backbones of TPESER, participated in this academic exchange.

At the invitation of Research Fellow Bai Ling, Prof. Suko Prayitno Adi and Dr. Supriyanto Rohadi from BMKG, visited TPESER on June 13, 2023, and conducted discussions on international cooperation with TPESER.

From March 15 to 17, 2023, the 6th Global Summit of Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (GADRI for short) Summit was held at the Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University (Japan).
